From salsa to breakdancing
The festival at Zurich’s main station showcased an exhilarating array of dance styles. In the grand hall, vibrant costumes sparkled and heels clicked rhythmically as couples danced salsa with precision. The excitement reached its peak during the salsa vs. swing battle, pushing the dB meter to new heights.
This weekend’s dance extravaganza highlighted Zurich’s cultural and cosmopolitan spirit. Local dance schools offered a rich variety of styles, from Afro-Cuban contemporary and burlesque to Brazilian Zouk and intimate couple’s dances.
On Saturday, the urban dance scene took center stage. B-boys and B-girls displayed their athletic prowess in a dynamic Breakdance Battle, with crowds gathering around the dance circle. Renowned B-Boy Lilou from Lyon shared his expertise in workshops on Sunday. The station hall transformed into the city's largest dance floor after the official events, embodying the motto: Dance till you drop!
Impressive Traverse Circle
For Zürich tanzt, smARTec once again managed the audiovisual setup for the main station venue. A standout feature was the 45° inclined truss circle, spanning an impressive 20 meters in diameter. smARTec’s team also handled the audio, lighting, and stage technology, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees.
